Listen... the internet is for sharing. I firmly believe that the internet is a tool meant to be used to share our ideas, art, programs, all of the good things humanity is capable of. With that being said, as an artist I do my best to credit any art that I use personally because that's what I've always done and what I believe you should do. If you use my art or writing for personal use, cool! I'm flattered! Leave a link back to where you got it, please, or just don't claim it as your own is all that I ask.
As for code, please, steal away! I don't know what I'm doing and if I can help someone else in the process that's super cool.
